Florence is a Ph.D. Epidemiology student in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Michigan State University and currently works as a Graduate Research Assistant with Dr. Misra’s lab. She obtained her Master’s in Public Health with a focus in Epidemiology from the University of Georgia.
Prior to joining MSU, Florence worked with the State Public Health Department and her work focused on identifying gaps and implementing improvement strategies geared towards maternal and child health outcomes. Florence is interested in furthering this work by identifying and alleviating factors that propagate health disparities in maternal and child health outcomes. Florence’s current research seeks to understand how work-related factors and hypertensive disorders impact birth outcomes. kizzaflo@msu.edu
