Mounira Ozoor
Mounira Ozoor is a PhD candidate in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and works with Dr. Luo as her Advisor. Before joining Michigan State University, she earned a Bachelors of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry from The University of Toledo and a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology from The University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University.
Mounira also currently works for a Michigan based health payer as a Data Scientist, with a focus on examining as well as addressing health equity challenges in the Medicaid population. Mounira’s research interests and dissertation work focuses on health equity and racial disparities within health care and adverse birth outcomes.
