Tamanna is from Bangladesh. She finished her undergraduate studies in dentistry and practiced as a licensed dentist for in Bangladesh. She decided to pursue a career in the healthcare sector, mainly to observe humanity and improve society. She came to the US to pursue her MPH at Central Michigan University. She excelled in the classroom, and worked as a graduate teaching assistant at CMU. She also worked as a Health & Wellness intern at the Central Michigan District Health Department. She is delighted to start her Ph.D. in epidemiology at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Michigan State University in fall’23. Her current research interest is maternal and child health, particularly perinatal health.
