Mrudula Nair

Mrudula Nair is a PhD student in Epidemiology in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Michigan State University and also works as an Epidemiologist at Henry Ford Health. She earned her dental degree in India and later completed a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health. Her clinical and public health training shaped her interest in epidemiologic research and in understanding how health outcomes and access to care vary across populations.

Her research focuses on HPV prevention, understanding how social and healthcare factors influence cancer outcomes, and cancer survivorship. She is interested in understanding factors that affect access to care and health outcomes among populations that face barriers to care.

Outside of work and school, Mrudula enjoys dancing, listening to music, practicing yoga, and learning to play the violin and guitar.
