Christian Loszewski

Christian Loszewski is a PhD student in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Michigan State University. He holds a Master of Public Health in Public Health Practice from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from Eastern Michigan University. Christian currently serves as a Research Project Manager in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, where he leads applied public health research initiatives focused on infectious disease screening, substance use disorder, and linkage to care in emergency department settings. His research interests lie at the intersection of applied epidemiology, infectious disease, and the social and structural determinants of health, with a particular focus on how health systems can better serve underserved urban populations. His goal is to develop the methodological expertise necessary to independently design and lead population-based epidemiologic studies that inform public health policy and practice. Outside of academia, Christian enjoys competing in sports, gaming, hiking in nature, and losing himself in a good fantasy novel.
