Beedoskah Stonefish is a M.S. Epidemiology student at Michigan State University. She is of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, and Walpole Island First Nation. Her research background includes local and national research exploring how Indigenous methods can be used to strengthen our understanding of Indigenous health and well-being. Beedoskah’s interests are in women’s health, perinatal and pediatric epidemiology, and psychiatric and addiction epidemiology. She hopes to conduct research that advances knowledge for Indigenous populations and results in policy changes that support preventative strategies to mitigate adverse health outcomes.
