Elizabeth Rudski
Elizabeth Rudzki is a postdoctoral scholar with Dr. Ellie Holzhausen’s group in the department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Michigan State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Ecology, Developmental Biology, and Microbiology at the University of Pittsburgh Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. Elizabeth’s research is broadly focused on how hosts acquire and assemble their microbiota during early life. In Dr. Holzhausen’s lab, she is investigating how maternal obesity and wildfire air pollution exposure during pregnancy are associated with alterations in the postnatal vertical transmission of microbes from mother to child. In her spare time, she enjoys working with ceramics and creating scientific illustrations.
