Tamanna Afroj

I am an Epidemiology Ph.D. student at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. I finished my undergraduate studies in dentistry in Bangladesh. Then, I came to the US to pursue my MPH at Central Michigan University (CMU). I worked as a graduate research and teaching assistant at CMU. I also worked as a Health & Wellness intern at the Central Michigan District Health Department.

I joined the JimLab in September 2023. I am also a research assistant in Dr. Chen’s lab at the MSU College of Nursing. My current research interests include maternal and child health, particularly perinatal health.
