Her research interests include racial disparities in maternal and infant outcomes, with a specific focus on how policies and procedures implemented in the 19th and 20th centuries have impacted the type of obstetric care Black women receive today. Professionally, Cynthia is interested in working for an advocacy organization, such as the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, assisting them with research and data analysis as they advocate for policy changes in maternal and child health care.
