Florence Kizza

Florence is a PhD Epidemiology student with the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Michigan State University and currently works as a Graduate Research Assistant with Dr. Misra. She  obtained her Master’s in Public Health with a focus in Epidemiology from the University of Georgia.

Prior to joining MSU, Florence worked for seven years with the Georgia Department of Public Health and her work focused on identifying gaps and implementing improvement strategies geared towards maternal and child health outcomes in the state of Georgia. Florence is interested in furthering this work by identifying and alleviating factors that propagate health disparities in maternal and child health outcomes.
