An Epidemiologist's Perspective on the COVID-19 Pandemic

Dawn Misra, MHS, PhD, chair and professor of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, shared her perspective as an epidemiologist navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Misra's work has shifted from long-term research in health disparities and infant mortality to short-term immediate actions to help the state of Michigan respond to the coronavirus health crisis. She shared her experiences working with the health department and community hospitals, developing a COVID-19 mortality review, and helping Michigan State University faculty prepare for the academic year
