PUBLIC HEALTH and the role of Epidemiology and Biostatistics
Epidemiology and Biostatistics are known as the basic sciences of public health. Our department engages with faculty and students in numerous colleges and departments across the university which includes the campus here in East Lansing, as well as those in Grand Rapids, Flint and other Michigan communities.
The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Michigan State University offers public health training through Master of Science and doctoral degrees as well as a Dual Degree Program for academically motivated undergraduate students. The department provides rigorous training in the fundamentals and practice of epidemiology and biostatistics and offers programs of study leading to the MS or PhD in Epidemiology or Biostatistics.
