The Epidemiology doctoral program at MSU truly prepared me for a competitive job market with its unique combination of specialized training and rigorous dual methods in both biostatistics and epidemiology. The rich research environment provided opportunities to work with large population-based data sets to help hone my programming and applied statistical skills.
The supportive and collaborative faculty not only guided me through the program, but continue to be a source of mentorship even after graduation.
My experience at MSU was foundational to my future career path and particularly made me well-positioned to my current job as a Class of 2022 CDC Epidemic Intelligence Officer.
